The History of Fort Heritage Building

The building is a Grade IIA heritage structure designed by the architectural firm Chambers & Fritchley in 1913. It was originally built for the British Bank of the Middle East and was one of 37 banks in the precinct, which came to be known as the Bank District. The building became the head office of HSBC in 1959, which owned and operated out of this building for more than 70 years.

In 2021, ICPL acquired and renamed this building as Fort Heritage, with an intent to preserve and restore its architectural integrity and further repurpose it for leasing.
